Behavior Advice For Clients

This practical publication helps veterinary practices develop, enhance, or expand their behavior consultation services. The book and companion CD-ROM represent a compilation of 117 dog and cat behavior client handouts that have been written and expanded over the past 10 years. It can be used by veterinarians and practice team members for continuing education, quick reference, and treatment planning purposes, and the CD allows veterinary practices to print individual handouts to send home with clients.

The book is organized into five general sections to facilitate ease of use: behavior modification and techniques, cat behavioral issues, dog behavioral issues, kitten basics, and puppy basics. The content is presented in a practical way to help veterinary teams and pet owners understand basic concepts of learning, training, and normal behavior; prevention of undesirable behaviors; and to provide answers and solutions to the most common behavioral problems of dogs and cats.
